Once every two months individuals or families can stop by one of our facilities and receive services (food/baby formula, clothing, diapers and other toiletries). Because NARKC’s goal is to change people’s conditions for the long term, after the 4th month the individual or family must apply for the sustain program to receive further assistance.

PROJECT 4: A Birthday Wish

Sometimes unexpected things happen to good people that causes a strain on their finances. Parents then have to make hard budgeting choices regarding: mortgage/rent, utilities, or groceries. To make matters worse, the parent may actually find a way to pay all of the above but this unexpected hardship comes right during the time of a child’s birthday. A parent feels terrible when she or he can’t provide a birthday party for their child. TARKC understands this and has started “A Birthday Wish” program.

TARKC will provide the parent all that is needed for a modest birthday party for their child.

*Cake/cup cakes, Ice Cream, chips, Drink, napkins, plates, Birthday invitations, ballons, streamers and a few gifts.

At the moment this program is for applicants in the Dallas, TX area only. Parents with children in shelters may also apply.
